Abstract

|
The purpose of this study was to explore the experiences of personal assistants for people with disabilities focus on care service. As this study focused on revealing the meaning and conditions of the experience of care-service provider of personal assistants for people with disabilities contextually. The study was investigated through the participant’s interviews and the materials of document information in qualitative study research. To solve research question, in-depth interviews were carried out with 12 personal assistants for people with disabilities. The data was analyzed by qualitative research methods. The results has been analyzed personal assistants as worker of the emotion and care connected with disabilities and community The results has been analyzed in four dimensions. Firstly, ‘being practiced as care-worker’, secondly, ‘work crossed public and priavate areas’, thirdly, ‘work surrendered self’, lastly, ‘passage connected people with disabilities and community’.Political proposals on personal assistants for people with disabilities training curriculum were made based on these results, suggesting the enhancement of practical education as expert care-worker, education curriculum quality, values and ethics.
